OVERVIEW

Who is ready for some snackin’, hikin’ relaxation time in the middle of finals? And where’s a better place to snack and hike than our old friend Humpback Rock? Not only that, what’s a better time to snack and hike than sunrise? Join us for a hike to appreciate our two favorite things, snacking and the sun, at Humpback. BYO snacks for the summit, and we’ll bring the headlamps. Humpback Rock is a 1.8 mile out-and-back trail that is fairly steep but beginner-friendly.

***We are looking for one additional driver, so drivers get priority!***

Time frame:
– 6:00am – leave Echols
– 6:30am – arrive at Humpback
– 7:20am – sunrise & snacks at the summit
– 7:40am – head back to the car
– 8:40am – arrive back at Echols
– 8:45am – go back to sleep

Things to bring:
– Snacks
– Water
– Headlamp (we will bring headlamps for everyone)
– Layers!! It will be cold at the top and in the dark
– Hiking shoes
– Mask for the car
