50th anniversary trip: BLAIRfence

OVERVIEW

i’m a big believer in making a celebration out of anything & everything, so join me in celebrating my 50th adventure with this lovely club. i feel it’s only right that this celebration occurs at my favorite time of day and on a trail that so cleverly goes with my name (all credit to mr. mason goodman), so i’m making this a BLAIRfence sunrise.

contrary to popular belief, 5 AM alarms and saturdays actually do go together quite nicely. the beauty of the weekend is that as soon as we return to grounds you can immediately catapult yourself right back into your bed…or you can continue on with your day, maybe roll the farmers market or a brunch with friends, the possibilities are endless with an early saturday start.

party plans:
– 5:15 AM meet at echols
– 6:30 AM we ascend
– 7:00 AM the sun will come out
– 7:40 AM we depart good ole snp
– 8:45 AM we back

to bring:
– sturdy hiking shoes
– layers (i know it’s been 90° but mornings can be chilly)
– 1L+ water
– breaky/snacks
– a positive spirit
