Blue Sky Fund #TakeAHikeForKids Volunteering!!

OVERVIEW

Hello! Would you like to volunteer for an amazing organization that helps kids in urban areas get a chance to connect with nature and do some hiking? Well, meet the Blue Sky Fund, based in Richmond. They have requested volunteers to help distribute water and snacks, answer questions, and general friendliness at their annual #TakeAHikeForKids fundraiser. We will be working at the Reedy Creek station along the route, which is located in Richmond and starts and ends at the Virginia War Memorial. This is a really great opportunity to help an important charity that gives kids the resources to develop a love for nature as strong as all of yours.

The Plan:
9:00 am- meet at the corner of Echols
9:15 am- grab Bodos and gas on our way out of town
10:30 am- arrive at the either the VA War Memorial or Reedy Creek to get more details from the organizers (still working on these details, will update as soon as I know)
11:00 am- begin volunteering at Reedy Creek
2:00 pm-finish up volunteering, grab some free food at the after-party
3:30 pm (at the latest)- depart for Cville
5:00 pm (at the latest)- back at Echols

What to Bring:
-weather-appropriate clothes, layers would be smart
-perhaps a rain jacket
-water bottle
-snacks if you please
-mask for the car ride
