*Changes* Mountaintop Mixer with Jmu

rumor has it barstool just released an article that declared ODC the best frat on UVA grounds. clearly this is a fact and in celebration i’m throwing a mountaintop mixer with some adventurous folks from jmu.

my good pal charlie and i both went to SE Asia this past summer with an incredible organization called GIVE (Growth International Volunteer Excursions) and we both met some dope people from JMU that share a passion for the great outdoors & community engagement. with our schools being only an hour apart, we figured why not meet at a mountain half way between & do a lil social gathering. JMU has their own GIVE club, so we’ll be meeting up with them at CRABTREE FALLS (99% chance we won’t have access to riprap this weekend sadly)

it’s a moderate 2.8 mile out & back hike with views of the falls the whole way up. learn more here:

the NEW gameplan (you get an extra hour of sleep now):
departure: 11:00am from echols
arrive at crabtree: 12:00pm
~give ourselves 3 hours to hike, bond, eat, chat, jam etc~
leave from crabtree: by 3:00pm
arrive in cville: by 4:00pm (yay more time for homework grind at night)

TO BRING
-sturdy shoes
-2+ L of water
-layers (looks like it’ll be fairly warm, but a good chance of rain)
-lunch & snacks
-shenandoah park pass if you have one (so that $5 fee goes away)
-leave the “Just Missed Uva” jokes at home, our world has enough polarization.

DRIVERS NEEDED: you will get reimbursed + 50% tip
drivers & people with shenandoah park passes will get priority off the waitlist!!
