New River Gorge National Park, Visitor Center Road, Lansing, WV, USA
Well hello there fellow nrgers,
Do you wanna spend your Saturday afternoon hiking to some of the most beautiful views of the park? Are you passionate about hiking in gorges? Will you feel incomplete if you don’t get a killer view of some bridge day festivities? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then this adventure is for you.
This hike is a really highly rated out-and-back trek through the woods of the new river gorge with great views of the river and the bridge along the way. It’s 6.3 miles total, is rated as “moderate” on All-Trails, and seems pretty doable for all levels. We can also bring some snacks and have a little picnic at the halfway point overlook if people want!!
