Echols Dorm: Brick Wall By Side Door
Hawksbill Mountain
Hey kids,
Let’s celebrate the American labor movement / the seasonal end to wearing white / the seasonal start to unabashed Lily Pulitzer and Sperry-wearing, grunting, and tackling / the month of my favorite Earth, Wind & Fire song / being ALIVE this Sunday with a scenic hike up Hawksbill mountain! At 4,050 feet, this is the ~highest~ peak in Shenandoah National Park (step aside, Old Rag) with breathtaking 270 degree views at the summit. It’ll be a rewarding, fast-paced 5.5 mile hike, intersecting the AT and offering awe-inspiring vistas of the Massanutten Range and the rest of SNP.
