Hazeltop Mountain/Camp Hoover Day Hike in Snp

OVERVIEW

To celebrate the start of the spring semester, I’ll be leading a trip up Shenandoah National Park’s third highest peak, Hazeltop Mountain. We’ll also be checking out Rapidan Camp, president Hoover’s retreat, as well as Big Rock Falls during the 7.6 mile loop. For more details, look here: http://www.hikingupward.com/SNP/CampHoover/

We’ll be leaving promptly at 11:00am, arriving at Milam Gap parking area by 12:15, and hiking for 3-4 hours in order to get out of there before the sun goes down.

You provide: warm clothing, athletic shoes/hiking boots, 1-2 liters of water, snacks/lunch.
Club provides: gas, companionship, Shenandoah National Park entry

Cap is 8 people. Drivers and individuals with a SNP pass get off the waitlist first. Drivers are reimbursed. If there are enough drivers and interested participants, there will be a $2 fee for attending this trip.
