Hightop Peak Trail- Shenandoah Sundays

OVERVIEW

They say April showers bring May flowers, but Sunday appears to be clear for now, and who doesn’t like a quick summit hike to look over the blue ridge mountains. Hightop Peak Trail is 2.8 miles out and back with just under 1000 feet elevation gain (and loss). Let’s enjoy the views and snacks on what should be clear Sunday!

Itinerary:
– 10 AM: Meet & leave from Echols.
– 10:45 AM: Arrive at trailhead & begin hiking (Hightop Mountain Parking Area).
– 1:15 PM: Return to trailhead and head back.
– 2:00 PM: Return to grounds.

What to Bring:
– Water (2+ Liters).
– Comfortable hiking shoes/boots.
– Weather-appropriate attire.
– Snacks.

*DRIVERS WILL GET PRIORITY OFF THE WAITLIST!!* I will be driving but having another driver will allow us to have a group of up to 8 people. Anyone willing to drive will receive priority off the waitlist along with full gas reimbursement and a 50% tip. I will also give priority to someone with a Shenandoah National Park pass assuming we find another driver.
