Humpack Rocks: Sunset Hike and Dinner on the Cliffs!

OVERVIEW

Hey, Folks!

Join me for a hike Thursday evening to the locally-famous Humpback Rocks near Waynesboro, VA. We’ll hike up to the cliffs, ~1.5 miles uphill, settle in and cook dinner while we watch the sunset over the Shenandoah Valley – this spot has amazing views north and west of the Blue Ridge. Then we’ll hike back down with headlamps and return to Cville in time for Thursday night festivities/studies. This is a great opportunity for an outdoorsy kickoff to the weekend or a study-break – whichever suits!

There will be a small fee (a few bucks) to cover dinner costs for the group since this is not an overnight trip, but we will cover gas. I will bring headlamps for those of you who do not have your own.

Bring a day-pack with water (at least 1 liter) and an extra layer (fleece, sweatshirt, whatever) as it gets windy at the top and will cool down as the sun sets.

I will limit this trip size to 3 and add more people as drivers sign up.
