I Must Be Really Desperate to Go on An Outdoors Trip If it Means I’m Leading Another Sunrise Hike

OVERVIEW

The title says it all. I hate waking up early. But I like making friends and seeing pretty views, so a quick lil cost-benefit analysis here leads to the conclusion that I must in fact lose sleep to be truly fulfilled.

So here we go! Through painstaking googling and texting friends who are far more knowledgable on the prime sunrise locations around here, I have determined that a good move would be to hike Stony Man Mountain this Friday morning.

The plan:
5:30 am — Depart from DILLARD DUMPSTER–If you have any questions about or problems with this location, please text me.
6:50 am — arrive at parking lot (Skyline drive, mile 41.7) and BOOK IT 0.8 miles (blue n white trail) or so to the summit from where the sunrise will be visible at around 7:20ish in the am.
9:30 am — arrive back in the ‘ville in time for a quick bite before our 10 ams.

Don’t forget:
-$5 for an SNP pass or an SNP pass if you have one
-Good shoes
-water n snax if you’re into that kind of stuff
-maybe dress warm, who am I to predict the weather?
-camera
-for the love of god please bring some stories or jokes or riddles or any sort of conversation topics for the ride there

-drivers get priority off the waitlist. The club reimburses for gas +50% tip!
-drivers need to show up to Dillard with a full tank of gas!
