Intermediate-Advanced Whitewater Kayaking

OVERVIEW

I need to get in a boat and paddle something. My plan is to daytrip WV Saturday, and boogey back for some celebrations in cville or possibly a film premier in Lynchburg. The options are pretty open. On the intermediate side of paddling, there is the NRG (III-IV), Lower Gauley (IV) and Middle Fork (III-IV). Or we can step, things up if I find a crew, and hit the Lower Big Sandy, Cheat Canyon, or Upper Gauley. Let me know your preference.

If you think you can handle the NRG then sign up for this trip and I will assess your skill level before I decide on which river to paddle.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
Everyone gets waitlisted till I screen your skills, which should include: Lots of experience through at least class 3 rapids, reliable combat roll and/or stellar bracing/leaning skills such that you don’t have to roll.

The Club provides: The 5 essentials, paddle jacket/drytop, booties, drybag, seat in car, boat transportation

You should bring: Non-Cotton Layers, Swimming Ability, Adventurous attitude.
