OVERVIEW

Overall Description:
This semester the Service Committee is excited to partner with JRA to create a UVa chapter of the river rats program! http://jrava.org/what-you-can-do/river-rats/ . We’ll host trips during the year that involve cleaning up the James river watershed (mainly the rivanna for us) and documenting what we find.

Specific Trip Description:
Next Saturday, JRA is hosting a training to educate new trip leaders on SEPT 17th from 10am – 3pm. To lead a RiverHoos trips in the future, you need to attend this training! The training will be informal and there will be other college chapters there as well. Lunch is also provided!
We will meet up at Echols dorm at 8:45am on Saturday, drive to Richmond, learn about super cool RiverHoos activities from 10-3, and then get BOTTOMS UP Pizza (free!) and come home by 5pm.

Priority of this trip will be given to officers and current trip leaders but everyone is welcome!
