Echols Dorm: Brick Wall By Side Door

If you like food and rocks, keep reading.
In the spirit of the outdoors community, let’s join our buddies over at Peak Experiences to clean up some classic Richmond crags at Manchester Wall. A blurb from our buddy Tristian: “The event is March 31 from 10-5 and will involve cleaning the left side of the area. We will be working to clean up trash, level out the slope and install benches. If anyone can make it please let them know that they can show up and leave at any time, there will be free coffee and foodstuffs, and potentially some other beverages, from local RVA vendors.”
(note, this is Tristian from Peak, not Tristan the other climbing adviser. Be sure to ask Tristan the proper way to spell Tristan. Hint: it is not Tristian.)
Not only is there food and rocks to enjoy on said service trip, there is also $7 worth of bodos for every attendee!! $7 = one STACKED bagel!! You read that right: DOUBLE THE FOOD and therefore also DOUBLE THE FUN.
Logistical thingamajigs: The event is from 10-5, but I value my beauty sleep and Richmond is a bit of a drive, so we’ll meet at Echols ~9am, grab some bodos and hit the road. Hang out and help out @ Manchester for as long as we please, and mozie on back to Charlottesville. I doubt we will stay to clean much longer than 2 or 3, but I set the end time at 6pm just in case. Depending on what the group is feeling, we just might get some climbing in while we’re there!
Be sure to bring: a big appetite (and/or a hungry hungry hippo to eat your bodos for you), water, decent shoes so you don’t stub your toesies, and a hug for somebody who’s having a rough day.
