OVERVIEW

Ever heard of Blue Ridge School? Well it just happens to be my esteemed alma mater and happens to have miles of beautiful mountain biking trails, many of which I helped build and maintain while in high school. There are flowy trails for beginners (built by Progressive Trail Design, check them out on Facebook), and plenty of technical climbing and descending that will keep bikers of all skill levels thrilled!

Plan is to leave Friday as close to 3:00 as possible from Echols Brick Wall, drive out to BRS which takes about 40 minutes, hit the trails for about 2 to 2.5 hours, eat FREE DINNER in the dining hall there (perk of being an alumni), then head back to Cville. Be back here no later than 8:00.

Also the possibility of doing some bouldering in the bouldering cave they have there. If you think you’ll get bored of biking or would just rather grasp holds than handlebars, bring your climbing shoes!

If you don’t have a bike, you can check one out from the club. Gear Room at 5:00 on Thursday, and if you can’t make that, contact me or an officer and we’ll figure something out. It is your responsibility to be ready to go with a functional bike on Friday.

I’ll cap the trip at 8 people, but still thinking about how we’re going to get all people and bikes there. Everyone will be waitlisted to start and priority will be given to people with bike racks! Sign up if you have one!

You Bring:
Bike
Helmet
Waterbottle

Optional:
Climbing shoes

Other than that, let me know if you have any questions, and I look forward to shredding some awesome trails with you.

Peace, my friends.
