New Years (Observed) Advanced Kayakin!

OVERVIEW

Got Monday off? Do you have advanced kayaking skills? Want to paddle something sweet? Then continue reading!
Might head to WV, might stay local… All depends where the rain falls in the next several days. If WV is looking good, then we’ll probably head out Sunday night, otherwise it would be a Monday morning departure for something local. The club would only cover reduced camping/food rates, so bring extra $ to cover those.

It’s winter – so in addition to the 5 essentials, bring: reliable roll, or preferably supreme river reading and bracing skills so that you don’t have to roll! Swimteam Tryouts are highly discouraged – and can result in hypothermia, or at the very least will suck!
You Bring:
-Non-cotton layers
-Cold water outer gear if you have it (ideally drysuit, but drytop & drypants/wetsuit may suffice).

Club Provides:
– The “5 Essentials” if you need them
– Limited selection of cold water garments
– Camping gear if needed
– Gas $

Send me any river requests, and/or other comments on the questions page. Email me any questions about gear or your preparedness for this trip (no idea where we’re going as of this posting – I’ll finalize the plan sunday morning). Everyone gets waitlisted till I screen your skills.
