*Nrge Trip* Intermediate/Adv Paddling at the New

OVERVIEW

Yo,

Apparently all the cool kids are making NRGE trips so I figured I’d jump on board. I plan on paddling the gorge section of the New River on the Saturday of NRGE, the 22nd, as unfortunately the Gauley will not be releasing. This is a class 3/4 stretch of super fun whitewater, however the decreased temperatures that are sure be present in two weeks mean you should have a solid roll to avoid some potentially long and chilly swims. Club will provide boats, gear, and cold gear– provided there are not too many people.

If you need camping gear or anything else not related to whitewater you will have to snag that from the gear room prior to departure. Also bring money and food as the club is only providing pizza Saturday night.

Logistics:
I’ll be coming up to Ray’s sometime on Friday the 21st, however I may go biking on the way so it will necessary to have another driver, not only for ease of travel but also for shuttle purposes. I should be heading home Sunday morning, again with some potential biking.

Per usual, everyone will be waitlisted until I can confirm your ability.
