Shred Shack Backyard
Want to feel inspired by the tales of others doing crazy things in the outdoors? Want to share the evening w your ODC besties (or make new besties) in the lovely backyard of the shred shack? Or maybe you’re just coming for the popcorn…
Regardless, join us for movie night!! I’m making this a series, where we converge to watch outdoorsy movies/documentaries, specifically highlighting some amazing people who are apart of historically underrepresented groups in the outdoors, so that we can take in their stories, feel inspired to get outside and do amazing things, and consider what it means to make the outdoors inclusive for everyone, in general, and within the context of our own club.
For this one, we’ll be watching “Black Ice,” in which members of a Memphis climbing gym travel to Montana to experience ice climbing. It’s ~45 minutes, and is a very fun & engaging watch. We’ll gather in the shrackyard (shrack backyard) at 7:00, as it’s getting darker, we’ll grab some snacks, and we’ll watch it on a projector on the outside wall of the shrack.
Bring:
-layers (we’ll be watching outside)
-picnic blanket of some kind (there are some seats, but it’s limited)
-water
-extra snacks if you want (we’ll provide the popcorn)
-interest + stoke!!! (+contemplation)
See you there (make ur other ODC friends sign up too)
