OVERVIEW

Who wants to join a 17 miler day hike????? COME JOIN

The Schedule:
Meet in front of Echols at 7am
Get to the trailhead around 8:30am (Hour and a half drive)
HIKKKKKE
I’m hoping to get done around 5ish at the latest
Drive back to Charlottesville—hoping to get back no later than 7

What to bring:
Trusty hiking shoes
Water (at LEAST 3L)
Whatever food you will want to eat throughout the day
For clothing: the high is going to be 55 and the low 28
A backpack to keep all your goods in

All Trails says the hike is only 15 miles; however, the reviews say it is closer at 17. It is rated as Hard with 4,500 ft of elevation gain:
