Seeking Serenity at Glass Hollow

OVERVIEW

Hey everyone,

I hope you all are well and have been spending time with those closest to you. Yesterday’s tragedy has left everyone feeling shaken, and I know its caused a lot of anxiety. I think it’d be nice if we went for a little sunrise hike to combat that. Let’s hit Glass Hollow on Friday.

It’s going to be cold. Below freezing cold. Bring lots of layers (hats, gloves, etc). I’m going to bring a little stove and attempt to make some cocoa/tea on the summit. If you’re interested, bring something that can hold hot water.

The hike is 2.2 miles round trip with only small elevation changes. It leaves from the same lot as Humpback but is much less strenuous.

The Plan:

5:15 AM Meet at Echols
5:20 AM Leave
6:00 AM Start hiking
6:30 AM Arrive at overlook
6:56 AM Sunrise!
7:45 AM Drive back
8:15 AM Return and disperse (bodos perchance)

DRIVERS NEEDED: I’ve got one car that can bring 3 additional people. One more car means we can bring 5 more. Drivers get priority off waitlist.
