Sunday 4/9 Hightop Mountain Hike – Warm and Sunny

OVERVIEW

Trying to get in some more hiking before I graduate!

Sunday will be beautiful, sunny, and a high of 62 in Shenandoah National Park. Hightop is a quick hike and close to UVA so it is a great way to escape schoolwork but not so long that you regret it afterwards.

Let’s head out at 9:30 AM on Sunday morning. I will allocate an hour each way for driving and 3 hours to hike and eat lunch at the overlook, but this will be more than enough time. We will be back by 2:30 PM at the absolute latest.

I can drive and have a SNP pass, but the more the merrier! Drivers much appreciated!

Bring:
2L of water
Lunch and/or snacks to eat at the top
Layers of clothing because of cold and wind in the park and at the overlook
$5 cash in case you are in a car without a pass holder
