The sun jumped over the bearfence – Bearfence Sunrise Hike

OVERVIEW

Let’s start Classes off right this week by heading up to a crowd favorite sunrise/sunset spot: Bearfence Mountain. It’s a quick, 1-mile hike with a nice baby rock scramble. If you like scrambling over rocks, this is a great one! Note that we will be doing the rock scramble in the dark, so it is advisable to bring a headlamp.

Schedule:
5:00 – Meet at Echols
5:10 – Leave Echols
6:10 – Arrive at trailhead and start hiking
6:40 – Arrive at summit, brew beverages, and watch the sun rise
6:47 – Sunrise and start hiking back to car
8:30 – Back at Echols

What to Bring:
Headlamp (we will be doing the rock scramble in the dark)
Water
Comfy hiking clothes
Jacket/blanket in case it gets cold
Snack/breakfast
