Thursday Humpback Sunrise

OVERVIEW

Howdy

I have a 930 am on Thursday but I like to live life on the wild side so let’s do a Humpback sunrise. Also, assuming nothing crazy happens, we’ll be back well before then (as much as I’d like to be late for my ENWR). For those who haven’t done Humpback, it’s wicked short (under a mile to the top) and has a great sunrise view. This hike will be pretty chill, but it is fairly steep so make sure you’re up for that.

Schedule:
5:20 – Meet at corner of Echols dorm
5:25 – Leave
6:00 – Arrive at trailhead
6:30 – Summit
6:43 – Sunrise
6:55 – Start hiking back to the car
7:25 – Leave for cville
8:00 – Arrive on grounds, Bodo’s?

What you need:
– Hiking boots or something sturdy
– Layers – be able to strip down to not sweat too much on the way up and bundle up to watch the sunrise
– Water – a liter should be fine
