Turk Mountain Recovery Hike

OVERVIEW

Hello outdoorsy people!
Are you getting wrecked by this week of midterms? Is that adventurous voice in your head telling you to escape Charlottesville and take refuge in the great outdoors? Well then this is the hike for you! Join me at Turk Mountain to recover from midterm season and take in those beautiful fall leaves this Sunday.
This short, 2.2-mile hike is a quick way to take in some great views and still get back to UVA with enough time to continue the midterm grind.

Plan:
8:45 AM – leave Echols
45 min drive to trailhead
10:15 AM – reach summit
10:45 AM – descend
11:30 AM – back at cars
12:15 PM – arrive back at Echols

What to bring:
SNP pass or $5.00
1-2 liters of water
Snack of your choosing
Sturdy hiking shoes
Warm layers
