We saw something other than a cloud! – Humpback sunrise pt2

OVERVIEW

Howdy

I was complaining about two sunsets on Humpback where we got stuck in the fog so I led a sunrise hike and it was a *Borat voice* great success! Trip picture is from that morning. Anyway now I’m hooked and am doing a part 2. For those who haven’t done Humpback, it’s wicked short (under a mile to the top) and has a great sunrise view. This hike will be pretty chill, but it is fairly steep so make sure you’re up for that.

Schedule:
5:30 – Meet at corner of Echols dorm
5:40 – Leave (no later then 535 so don’t be late)
6:15 – Arrive at trailhead
6:45 – Summit
6:58 – Sunrise
7:10 – Start hiking back to the car
7:40 – Leave for cville
8:15 – Arrive on grounds, Bodo’s?

What you need:
– Hiking boots or something sturdy
– Layers – be able to strip down to not sweat too much on the way up and bundle up to watch the sunrise
– Water – a liter should be fine
– Mask for the car ride

DRIVERS NEEDED!!!!
– Club reimburses $$ for gas (+50% tip), MUST arrive with full tank of gas
– Drivers receive priority off of the waitlist
