108 Clark Hall
Ivy Creek Natural Area
Did you think until now you could only identify trees when they have leaves or plants when they are in flower? Did you ever want to know more about the natural world around you when you’re hiking in the winter? Do you want to be able to impress your friends by knowing the names of trees in just by their bark, or about ferns and winter orchids? Well this is the hike for you!
We’ll be leaving Clark parking lot at 2:15 PM NEXT Friday (February 15) and taking a short ~ten-minute drive over to Ivy Creek! We’ll be looking at the native trees around the trails for about half an hour, and then the rest of the hike is an easy 2-mile loop around the Reservoir! On this hike I’ve seen hawks, turtles, and other cool wildlife before so we will be exploring the Ivy Creek trails looping around the reservoir, returning after 1-2 hours. An easy hike for beginners
