James River Tubing

OVERVIEW

This is a fun and easy white water excursion down the James River. Float time down a 4-mile section of the river is about 3 hours and there are places along the way to stop for a picnic lunch. You will obviously get wet, so bring a change of clothes. Showers are available.

Outdoors at UVa provides:

One cooler stocked with drinks, and a second with ice for sandwiches/lunches you bring.

You must bring:

Please bring your own lunch and be sure to wear shoes that can get wet and will not fall off in the river. Old sneakers or tevas are fine, but no flip flops. Don’t forget sunscreen!
