Skydiving, Second Try

OVERVIEW

Since the weather didn’t cooperate last Friday, we’re going to try again. If you’ve already paid your deposit for the last trip, just sign up and you’re set to go (please, sign up for this trip too, so I can plan easily). Otherwise, sign up for this trip right away. The signup deadline is very soon! This is so I can arrange with Ned and get him the deposit, etc etc.

I may be able to meet you to get a deposit from you — email me or call me and ask.

You cannot withdraw from this trip, because I’m paying a deposit on your behalf. It is non-refundable. If you can get someone to take your place, it’s fine to trade the deposit off to the other person, but you cannot just withdraw.

The price is $184 cash or $194 credit card (no checks). You must get me the $50 non-refundable deposit very quickly — when you join, I will get in touch with you and talk with you about it. This special group discount is retro-actively taking advantage of the prices BEFORE the May 1 price increase — so sign up, by all means! You’ll never get to go this cheaply again. Bring non-member friends if you want, too (call me about this).

You must be
1) Over age 18.
2) Reasonable physical and mental condition.
3) Under 220 pounds (if you’re heavier, we can talk to Ned about it and see if he has anyone available who can jump with you).

You need to bring a picture ID with DOB like a driver’s license, and must arrive on time because we are going to attend a scheduled class. The balance (minus your deposit) is payable when we get there. You must show up, regardless of the weather. You are NOT to try to predict the weather and stay home if it looks bad. We’ll lose the group discount if that happens, and you will lose your deposit.

What to wear is on http://www.skydiveorange.com/faq.htm#wear If you have some light gloves, bringing them would be a good idea, as it will likely be cold at altitude.

You MUST READ ALL the webpages and stuff I linked above! I’m not going to repeat all the information here; consider those webpages part of this trip description. Skydiving is a tough business to run; essentially it’s about scheduling seats on a plane, so Ned et al are not very flexible at all, and things are pretty fast-paced there.
