Echols Dorm: Brick Wall By Side Door
Walnut Creek Park
White water kayaking is the best outdoor recreational sport EVER! But before you have fun in the rapids, you need to learn the basics on flat water. We’ll spend 2 hours at Walnut Creek Park learning how to wet exit, paddle straight, T-rescue, and do the Eskimo roll. If you have experience in a white water kayak please do not sign up until later in the week to give complete beginners the chance to learn. You can email or call me if you have questions: dclark@virginia.edu or 962-9737.
Please bring some swimwear, change of clothes, towel, sunscreen, water, and snacks.
The Club provides: $4.50/person entry fee into Walnut Creek Park, Boats, pfds, helmets, nose plugs, paddles, and spray skirts.
