Echols Dorm: Brick Wall By Side Door

Lots of hiking trips, lots of waitlists. Here is another one:
Overall Run goes to the largest continuous waterfall in Shenandoah. It’s unclear to me whether continuous means really big, sweet drop or just lots of staircase action. Either way, the hike is 8.5 miles and passes by lots of water, and supposedly is a good place to catch black bears. Swimming is also an option on this hike.
The bad thing about this hike is that it is far away: 1 hour and 48 minutes according to Google. Hike time should be be around 3.5-4 hours, so I plan to leave at 10 from Echols. Should be back by 5:30 ish, probably 6 ish. Flashlights are discouraged; if we hike slowly enough to need flashlights, then injuries caused by darkness represent retribution by the hiking gods.
I’m amenable to choosing a different hike of greater distance if people want. Everybody gets waitlisted ’til I see the driver situation. If people want to stop somewhere on the way back, it’s fine with me.
