For those of you that cant make it out for the Sunday hike for whatever reason (mine being that 9am would be the apocalypse on this particular Sun.) here is Saturday hike of similar caliber. So I have heard lots of good things about this trail. It no doubt has some awesome views to gawk at and possibly have some kick ass picanics at if timing works out right. So down to the nitty gritty.

9.5 mile loop but not really its more like a lasso(look at the link you will understand then)
should take us no more than 5 hours, have never taken as long as hiking upward says in past
1 hour drive to the trail head
= 7 blissful hours of your time
What you bring to the party
-enthusiasm
-some previous hiking experience, its 9.5 miles or 15km or alot of steps, so basically its a ways therefore please only come if you have a sense what hiking that far is gonna feel like on your footsy, knees, and such
-at least a liter of water
-lunch(teddy grahams)
-hiking boots(tennis shoes could work but boots are always better)
-ohhh yeah you will need a backpack of some kind to tuck that liter of water and lunch into cause it wont be in my bag
-your car if you have one
-a Shenandoah park pass will also get you lots of browny points
Whats on the house
-the idea thats no small task ok
-car ride
-gas
-i might share some teddies with you if you are really kind to me
