THIS IS HALLOWEEK

OVERVIEW

IT’S THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR. Yes, I know that it’s not Christmas time, pretty babies. BUT IT IS HALLOWEEN TIME. So, let us celebrate in the most fitting way that I can imagine. Come little children, I’ll take thee away.

That is… to check out the spooky abandoned Jeffersonian ruins of Barboursville IN THE DARK! And telling your best ghost stories on site. It will be scary and it will be glorious.

PLAN:
– 6:15 pm Depart from Echol’s Wall and begin 35 ish minute drive to Barboursville
– 7:00 pm Poke around and frolic about the fields and look at the creepy ruins and get SPOOKED and stargaze and do whatever else your heart desires
– 7:15 pm Tell each other our scariest stories – accepting fictional tales, but preferring your real life stories of creepy things you’ve experienced, do the monster mash, cast some spells… I don’t know
– 8:00 pm (or whenever we’re feeling sufficiently scared) Return to UVA
– 8:35 pm Arrive home to return to our rooms by ourselves in the dark and be freaked out by every person, sound, and cold breeze

THINGS TO BRING:
– Water and snacks if you’d like? Hot chocolate if you’re feeling wild?
– Headlamp
– A blanket or something to sit on
– Layers
– Your most frightful tales

****I am unable to drive so this trip cannot happen without drivers!! If there are no drivers we will relocate to the lawn, which is cool and all, but just less cool. PRIORITY OFF THE WAITLIST, GET REIMBURSED, AND GET A 50% TIP! Drivers should also show up with a full tank of gas****
