Advanced Whitewater Kayakin – West of the Border

OVERVIEW

Lets head west of the border and paddle something!
More than likely this will just be a day trip, but I’ll indicate the end time thru Sunday just in case there’s interest to make a weekend out of it. Indicate in the Q/A section if you just want to daytrip, or spend both days. The (lower) New River Gorge is the likely destination, but that could change if something else nearby happens to come up between now and then. Trip may also be canceled due to excessively high/low water or other unfavorable conditions.

It’s November, water will be cold… Bring/ask for drytop!

Required Skillz:
Lots of experience in Class III or higher whitewater, and a solid roll. Everyone gets waitlisted till I screen your skills. This will likely be at the Class IV level, so swim team tryouts are discouraged. You provide:
Warm non-cotton layers, any paddling and camping gear you have.

Club provides:
Any gear you don’t have, ride in a vehicle.

Fee:
Incase we need to hire a shuttle – I’m gonna put $20 (not sure if this would get covered by the club)
