Fruit Trees and Other Edible Plants of the Pavilion Gardens

OVERVIEW

Have you ever wanted to learn what’s edible in the Pavilion Gardens and not just another pretty flower? In this walk through the gardens we will identify apple, peach, cherry, fig and other fruit trees and berry bushes and learn what time of year to look for fruit to harvest from them. We will also identify some of the many edible and medicinal herbs growing in the gardens. So if you’re around this summer you’ll know when to pick stuff! I’ll also bring a map of the edible plants in the gardens that I helped a landscape architecture student design if I can find it at home.
We’ll meet at the lawn steps of the Rotunda and head from there towards Garden 2 on the Hospital side.
