I WANNA SEE YOUR BODY ART, BODY ART

OVERVIEW

Why hellloooo my fellow creatures of the Earth!!!!! I recently hurt my knee, so I’ve decided this fall will be the season of connecting with our marvelous Earth through ANY HEALTHY MEANS POSSIBLE. CUE: cornstarch, crushed up berries, and a bubbling concoction, oh my!!!!!

This Thursday we shall gather pre-sunset to admire the clouds, then concoct a lil ~au natural~ paint and let our creative visions TAKE OFF. We’ll waddle in the Cville eve while faintly echoing traditions of our most ancient ancestors: Homo Sapiens have likely made paint to express themselves for over 40,000 years (with paint-making supplies found dated 100,000 years ago!), which makes me feel comfortingly insignificant and fundamentally belonging to humanity. Fun fact, some ancient paint is believed to be made with urine or animal fat!!!! If you’re really feeling it I am curious…

SO, MY FRIENDS AND FELLOW FINGER ARTISTS, LET US COMMUNE WITH THE EARTH. I’ll bring the painful ingredients, you bring some paper or surface desiring homemade coloration (did someone say body art??), and together we’ll become one with the night. Bring some berries or pigment-rich bois if you have any laying around! ALSO if anyone has paintbrushes you’re willing to use (we will wash them at the end, also don’t think berries would stain them) please answer yes in the questions for this trip and you’ll get priority off the waitlist!!!!!

OK FRIENDS THE DEETS:
1. 6:30 PM, gather on Rotunda steps (side facing lawn), feel free to bring dinner or snackies OR BLANKETS :):)
2. Meander to lawn or garden, ponder the darkening night
3. 6:54-7:45: Concoct some juicaayyy paint and ART IT UP!!!!!!!
4. 7:45-8:00: meander back to our respective houses more connected with the earth and its power to create expression and communion.
