Queer/Trans Hiking Crabtree Falls 11/13

OVERVIEW

Hello all!
Crabtree Falls?! Heck yeah. You all might have done Crabtree Falls before, but have you done it with some cool queers led by yours truly (Finn and Marian). No, but now you have a chance. This is a queer/trans affinity trip to Crab Tree Falls right off of the Blue Ridge Parkway to look at a Very Pretty waterfall and do a bit of hiking. So, Logistics!
Who? You.
What? Hike a really pretty 3-mile loop of what the National Parks Service and I consider ‘moderate’ difficulty. This is one of my favorite late fall/winter hikes in VA, you got hills, you got stairs, you got a really pretty waterfall. It has everything.
When? Saturday November 13th 9am till about maybe possibly probably 1:30-2:30pm
Where? Crabtree Falls, Google Maps says it is exactly 1hr, so I trust it is Exactly 1hr from the Corner of Echols Dorm
Why? Why not?

Schedule:
~9am leave Echols dorm
~10am arrive
~10:01am start hike
~12pm finish hike
~12:01pm eat lunch in amphitheater next to start
~12:31pm finish eating lunch
~12:32pm leave and drive back to grounds

To bring:
– Layers
– Walking shoes
– Water (1L)
– Food/Snack for lunch

Another Thing: As mentioned in the description, this is an affinity trip, meant specifically for queer and/or trans folks! So, please don’t sign up for this trip if you don’t consider yourself to be a part of those communities.

DRIVERS DESPERATELY NEEDED!
Drivers should show up to Echols with a full tank of gas, so you can get reimbursed! Y’all will get priority off the waitlist and reimbursement for gas +50% tip. (Free money, kinda!)
