Whitewater Kayaking: Upper Yough!

OVERVIEW

The Upper Yough is releasing on Saturday, so let’s go!

LOGISTICS:
Saturday we will be running the UY for its release, and Sunday plans are up in the air. If nothing else is running, I will probably open this up to beginner/intermediate kayakers and will take them down the Lower Yough on Sunday. TBD though.

Staying at Dave Kessman’s place, unless the group ends up being huge, then we will camp. For food, BYO, as it is summer and the club does not cover food. Once we have a final number we can coordinate more if need be.

Leaving Cville Friday evening, coming back Sunday at some point. There is always the possibility for someone to come back earlier if need be. If that’s you, let’s discuss.

SKILL / LEGAL STUFF:
The UY is class IV/V, so advanced paddlers only. Email me if you have questions about your ability to paddle this run. I will re-announce the trip if I’m going to open it up to beginner/intermediate paddlers.

am NOT “leading” any river trips, I am only coordinating some transportation for this event. YOU are responsible for your own safety and the activities you choose to participate in while on this trip.
