Fest the Gauley W/ New River Gorge Climbing (Intermediate+)

OVERVIEW

‘Tis the season for festivals, and Gauley Fest is one to check out.

Trip heads to New River Gorge for an overnight trip of top-rope rock climbing (intermediate+). Participants comfortably climb 5.8 and above.

We’ll depart UVA early, climb to our heart’s content, and then partake in music, vendors, etc. Link below. We’ll climb on Sun until early/mid afternoon before heading back to UVA.

Trip supports 4 people. Take note of trip date and start time.

Get to a gear room. You are responsible for getting all personal gear per the list below before the trip’s departure.

I am not guiding this trip, but am facilitating a safe, climbing experience. Managing risk is a shared responsibility. I’ll be conducting a Leave No Trace (LNT) awareness session for participants as I’m a LNT trainer. Gifts follow.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING:

– Snack food (Sat & Sun)
– Water (2L) in bladder or bottles
– Climbing gear (harness, shoes, chalk in chalk bags). Get to a gear room!
– Estimated $30 in cash for Gauley Fest entry ($20) and group dinner Sat. and breakfast Sun. ($10).
