Saturday Mcafee Knob Hike

OVERVIEW

Come hike McAfee knob this Saturday, April 16th!! McAfee Knob is a popular spot on the AT and has spectacular views of the Shenandoah Valley. We will head out from the Echols brick wall at 9:00 am with a full tank of gas and drive about 1.5 hours. We’ll hit the trail, hike for 4.4 miles at a moderate pace before reaching the summit, and then retrace our steps back down for a total of 8.8 miles. We will stop for lunch/ snack breaks somewhere along the way. The hike should take us about 5 hours. I’m planning to be back at uva by 5:00 pm. Here’s a link for more info about the hike.

DRIVERS NEEDED!!!!! Drivers will get reimbursed for gas plus 30% tip and will have priority off the waitlist.

Everyone will be waitlisted until we have drivers. Trip will be capped at 10 people.
