Thursday Humpback Sunrise

OVERVIEW

DRIVERS NEEDED

If you love a good sunrise hike before class, but have an 8am on Wednesday, this one is for you. This week’s Humpday Humpback will be on Thursday!

Humpback is a short but steep hike, ~1 mile long with ~800 ft. elevation gain. This trip is beginner friendly and time efficient.

We will depart from Echols with full tanks of gas no later than 05:15, make the 30 minute drive to the hike, and aim to be at the top from 06:30 to 07:00 to watch the whole sunrise. We should be back in Charlottesville no later than 08:00.

Everyone will be waitlisted until I have a driver or two. Drivers get waitlist priority. The club provides reimbursement for gas plus 50% tip.

You bring:

– appropriate footwear
– water
– car (for waitlist priority)
