Thinking about Christmas already? Well think again! In just over a week Thanksgiving will be upon us and we’ll be more stuffed than the bird on our tables. Let’s start prepping now with a nice 5.6 mile (roundtrip) hike. We’ll gain 1,500 feet just in time to be rewarded by a “beautiful panoramic vista” of the Shenandoah National park. From here we’ll be able to spot many neighboring peaks including Humpback, Flattop, and Rockytop, I know the originality is stunning. Oh and the weather shall be glorious, currently projected Clear and Sunny with a high of 73!. (P.S. We’ll be hiking at a decent clip.)
tl;dr Come hike a mountain with me for dope views and doper conversation!.
Schedule of Events: Meet at Echols dorm by 10:55, leave by 11:00. The drive should take 45 minutes, hit the trail by 12:00, hike for a few hours, and be back by 4:00.
What you’ll want to bring: Shenandoah National Park Pass (I’ll give you priority if you have one) or $5 to enter the park, Water (1-2 L), comfy layers, snacks (such as but not limited to carrots, bananas, or just mango)/possibly lunch on the summit if you’d like, a playful spirit, and good conversation.
*DRIVERS GET PRIOITY + A 50% TIP FOR GAS!* (Everyone will be waitlisted until I get drivers, currently planning on bringing 10.)
