Monday Finals Study Break / Tallest Man on Earth Appreciation Hike

OVERVIEW

Inspired by the ever-illustrious Jeremy Kemp, I will be hiking up to watch the sunset at Blackrock summit tomorrow and bring my speaker to play an entire Tallest Man On Earth album– come join me. This is totally a beginner hike and a great way to take in some scenic views before that orgo exam hits you hard. in the face. with a metal bedpan.

We’ll hang out, take a group photo, watch the sunset, and start the week right.

*DRIVERS GET PRIORITY* . I’ll be waitlisting everyone so I can make sure I have enough drivers, since I’m posting this so close to the actual trip.

Some nitties, some gritties:
6:50pm – depart from Echols Drive
7:20pm – arrive at trailhead
8:04 pm – dat sunset
8:40ish pm – leave summit
9pm – back in cville

What to bring:
– $5 cash for park entrance (or an SNP park pass!!!)
– water bottle
– snack
– headlamp/flashlight (or a phone light)
– hiking shoes (sneakers are fine)
– car (for waitlist priority) (arrive with FULL tank of gas AND PRINTED FORM for reimbursement eligibility)
-drivers must get a printed copy of their gas receipt. No bank statements plz
