Election day at Old Rag

OVERVIEW

Join me this upcoming election day hiking Old Rag! Old Rag is a fairly strenuous 9ish mile hike with 2,400 feet of elevation gain and some really cool rock scrambling. The hike itself will take roughly 5-6 hours, with an additional hour of driving there and back. Although this is a challenging hike, I’ll be going at a pretty easy pace and we’ll take lots of breaks.

I very much unfortunately do not have a car. As a result, drivers will get priority off the waitlist. Drivers get gas reimbursed plus a 50% tip and this is a super fun hike so please sign up!

The plan:
Meet at Echols at 9:30 am
Drive to Old Rag and start hiking ~9:45 am
Hike and appreciate nature
Be back in Cville by 5:30 at the latest

What you bring:
-2 or 3L of water
-lunch and snacks
-proper hiking clothes and shoes

What I’ll bring:
-day pass tickets*
-SNP pass
-Sunscreen

*This is what the $2 cost is for, but I’ll buy all the tickets beforehand
