Saturday Turk Mountain Sunset!!

OVERVIEW

Let me learn y’all a thing or two about this spot.

This is my secret sunset spot. For the past 3 years that I’ve had a car at UVA, this has been my go-to spot to see a beautiful sunset as a means to get me through the week. And lord knows, I could use a sunset right now. This is a relatively easy 2 mile hike that takes through Rhodedendrons (that’s probably not how you spell it), and chestnut groves, all leading to a gorgeous, rocky view at the top where you can see the entire Shenandoah Valley and the Alleghenies. Join me this Saturday as we do a relatively short sunset hike that will give you plenty of time to prepare the for the parties that night, and gives you plenty of time during the day to recover from the parties of last night (come to the 1ndieheads house show this Friday!!!)

3:30 Meet at Echols
3:45 Leave
4:30 Arrive at the trailhead
5:35 ish Sunset
5:40 Go back down 🙁
6:00 Leave
6:45 Arrive back in C Ville

Hiking Boots
Whatever sacrifices you would like to provide to the Sun God
A good attitude
Water

I’m keeping this to only 4 participants because the overlook at the top can definitely get cramped if we have more than that, but I will drive.
