Sunday Shenandoah Hike!

OVERVIEW

Come hike Calf Mountain! It’s a 3 mile out and back in the southern corner of Shenandoah (so not too far from Grounds!) There’s some awesome views and it’s not a challenging route so it’s pretty beginner friendly hike!

DRIVERS NEEDED – if you get to echols with a full tank gas is reimbursed + a 50% tip up to 20$. Drivers will get priority off the waitlist!

The plan:
1:30 – Meet at Echols and head out to the trail once everyone’s arrived
2:15 – Arrive at the trailhead and start hiking!
about 4:00 (depending on our pace): arrive back at the car and head back to UVA
some time around 4:45: Back at grounds!

You bring:
yourself
snacks!
enough water to get through a 3 mile hike with some hills
hiking clothes and shoes (it’ll probably be cold so layers!)
a daypack/backpack

I bring:
the same things
some extra snacks
a first aid kit

I’ve got a Shenandoah park pass so if we’re only one car we don’t need any extra. If we get two drivers and enough interest for two cars though we’ll need another pass and pass holders will get priority off the waitlist.
