Artmaxxing at Blackrock Summit

OVERVIEW

Wassup ODCers!
We’re back at UVA, which means it’s time again to get away from UVA!!!!

“You use a glass mirror to see your face. You use works of art to see your soul.” – George Bernard Shaw (Never heard of this guy but cool quote)
So join me at Blackrock Summit where we’ll let the mountains, dusk, sunset, and stars inspire us in whatever ways we want it to.
Some ideas are:
– Drawing
– Journaling
– Writing (poetry or stories or anything else)
– Playing an instrument (to the tolerance of the group)
or anything else creative (you absolutely don’t have to be good at it, as long as you enjoy it)

It’ll be sunny, but might get a little chilly so bring layers.

Drivers are needed and will get priority off the waitlist. Thou shalt be fully reimbursed for it is greater than 15 footlongs (miles) afar.
I’ll add more spots if more drivers sign up for the trip.

The Schedule.
5:00 – Depart Echols
6:00 – Arrive at trailhead
6:15 – Summmmit and create art
~8 – Hike down (We’ll go by feel, earlier or later if wanted/needed)
8:15 – Leave
9:15 – Home sweet home

You bring:
– Headlamp
– Water bottle
– Snacks?
– Journal/Pencil/Guitar/Harmonica
– Park pass if you have one
I bring:
– Same stuff (Don’t have a park pass at the moment)
– Possibly money for the park pass if needed
