Leander McCormick Observatory, McCormick Road, Charlottesville, VA, USA
HI ALL!!! What better way to end FWOC (first week of classes) than with a little jaunt on the OHill trails at sunset?? If you’re new to UVA, the Observatory Hill trails (better known as OHill) are literally right behind the first year dorms and perfect for an evening woods meander. Come join Charlotte, Loreley, and I to end your first week with a little forest escapism!!
ALSO: priority for first years and new members!!! We want YOU to come hike with us. Start your ODC career off right and join us for your first trip!!
This is the first WEEKLY WANDER of the semester. Every week (normally Friday afternoons) there’ll be a beginner-level hike/cartwheel workshop/crafting sesh/something random outside around grounds. These are geared towards first years and new people but EVERYONE is welcome- the goal is to have regular low-level-intensity trips to build beginner community!! If you love this one please join all of them. 🙂 🙂
PLAN:
5:30 meet at the corner of echols dorm (across from Gilmer)
mosey on up to the OHill trails
soak in sunset rays
7ish descend back to grounds
…. then get ready for our first PARTYYYYY happening that evening 🙂
YOU BRING:
Yourself!
Water if desired
WE BRING:

THAT IS ALL!! Text us with any questions 🙂 (numbers are on our profiles!) see y’all on the trails!!
