OVERVIEW

The weather this Sunday is going to be pretty amazing and the skies seem like they are going to be very clear so what better way to spend your Sunday afternoon and evening than hiking, watching the sunset, and stargazing.

Join me on a journey to the highest point in Shenandoah national park where we will view breathtaking views of the Shenandoah valley and enjoy a beautiful sunset. Then after just a short drive to big meadows to enjoy the stars for an hour or so.

Hawksbill is a short hike (1.6 miles) and it also relatively easy. It is a little steep but nothing technical. It should take us less than 30 minutes to reach the summit where we will enjoy the views and the sunset before heading backdown and driving about 10 minutes to big meadows where we can stargaze.
