*Postponed* Skiing at Snowshoe Because My Friends Are Tired of Hearing Me Whine About Snow

OVERVIEW

Unfortunately mother nature doesn’t want to play nice this weekend so this trip is being moved to the reading day (Thursday 12/13).

If you’re like me and your ski fever is almost a year round occurrence then this trip is for you because SNOWSHOE IS OPEN FOR THE SEASON!!! This will be an intermediate to advanced skiing and snowboarding trip. I’m making this a day trip because it’s finals szn and a-school is trying to kill me, so here’s the plan:
– meet at 6am (yes you have to get up) and leave for Snowshoe
– arrive around 9
– send it
– leave at 4, arrive back in cville around 7 so you can cram for whatever finals you have left
Things you will need to bring:
– Ski/snowboard equipment (if you have it)
– proper clothing (jacket, snow pants, gloves, goggles, layers, wool socks)
– pls wear a helmet
– drinks and snacks (for the ride or if you’re carrying a backpack)
– lunch money
– Ikon/season pass (if you have one)
– your undying love of skiing/boarding
A student day pass will cost $52 (don’t forget your ids). If you don’t have your own equipment, it will cost $45 for skis/snowboard and $10 for a helmet. Everyone is responsible for getting their own passes and equipment. You can get discounted tickets and equipment on Snowshoe’s website, but please hold off until you are off the waitlist.
I need drivers for this trip. All cars are welcome, but having all wheel drive and/or a ski rack is a plus. Gas is reimbursed +50% tip.
