Hey y’all! For my penultimate ODC trip, I’m going full cycle this year. On FDOC, I lead a Turk Mountain sunset hike, and I’ll do it again on LDOC(ish) (unfortunately Tuesday is set to be cloudy all day). Anyways, Turk Mountain’s the perfect spot to catch the sunset, with wide open views at the top over the Shenandoah Valley. It’s also a short, beginner-friendly hike, 1.2 miles each way and ~700 ft of elevation gain.

Drivers, pass-holders etc. are needed and get priority off the waitlist
Timeline:
6:15 pm – leave corner of echols
7:00/7:15 pm – get to trailhead
7:45-8:15 pm – enjoy the sunset
8:45 pm – be back at cars
9:30 pm – back to cville
What to bring:
* A bag
* 1L of water
* Snacks
* Comfortable hiking shoes
* Headlamps (if you don’t have one ask me)
* Layers bc it might be a bit chilly
What I’ll bring:
* A car
* Parks pass
* First aid kit
