OVERVIEW

This is a 9.6 mile (not very difficult) hike in Shenandoah Valley. “This is one of my two favorite hikes in all of Shenandoah National Park! We’ll see lots of beautiful waterfalls up close, and even get to go on a natural waterslide” (Matt Rosefsky, last years president). After the hike, which takes about 8 hours, we’ll go back to the campground and make dinner and s’mores. The campground has showers for those who want them. We’ll come back Sunday morning or early afternoon, depending on when people want to leave.

YOU SHOULD BRING:
Lots of water (1 liter if not more), Saturday lunch, hiking boots preferable but sneakers o.k., bathing suit and towel, sun tan lotion, flashlight and warm clothes for nighttime, musical instrument if you have one for playing around the campfire (spooky stories good, too!)

OUTDOOR CLUB PROVIDES:
Saturday dinner, Sunday breakfast, bug spray, camping fee, and if you need: sleeping bag and pad, tent, and a seat in a car.
